For anyone thinking of Company of Heroes, I think it is easily the best world war 2 RTS I have played, probably the best RTS in general (and I have played many in my 25 years of PC gaming) even better then COH 2 at this point in time as I feel that still isn't very well optimized. Great visuals, even for a game that old, well thought out and scripted campaign, great voice acting and very very involving campaign story lines. The campaigns really carry you through a little bit of actual WW2 history, like operation Market Garden etc. Once you finish the campaigns you can delve into skirmishes, plenty of maps to choose from and various game modes. Then there is multiplayer of course, either coop with a friend against AI, which can be set to easy or bloody hard, or delve into a large Allies VS Germans game with others in an annihilation game. Then once you get bored with that, there are superb fan based mods created for it, some really top notch, like Eastern Front, adds the Russians to the fight, or Battle of the Bulge, Blitzkrieg etc, all free and easy to add.
So all in all, COH is easily worth £4.99 for the complete pack and I would get the complete pack as it adds 2 more factions and several more campaigns. Hours and hours of great game play for the price of a cheap bottle of wine.
As for people who are thinking of Deadlight, I would also highly recommend this little gem. My only regrets with that one is that I felt it ended too soon but then again, anything you enjoy tend to always be short cause you are enjoying it. Deadlight from the outside is a simple sideways scroller zombie shooter game but with the combination of some really great visuals (on some areas you really feel that the world you are in is desolate and in ruins) good voice acting, nice little story to follow, some great action and puzzles along the way. I would say it slightly similar to Limbo except less puzzles, more shooting, add zombies and superb highly detailed graphics (not saying Limbo wasn't good, as it was great litttle game). All in all, easily worth a few quid.
Hope that helps.
EDIT: PS for those people who bought Fallout NV, if you get a chance, read my previous post in this thread, it should enrich your experience with NV.
