Steam Summer Sale

I didn't cry at the SW TOR launch, so I probably would, expecting them to pay extortionate costs for something very short term is pretty unrealistic.

That doesn't mean I don't dislike EA or Activision(and their blatant influence on Blizzard, probably that **** Kotick.)

Also WP Gman :D

How much do you think it'd cost to reinforce the servers? Surely not much, I can't see the monthly cost as it is being more than 25k$, bump it up to 30-35k$ worth of bandwith and the site would cope a lot better.

Haha, that had me laughing!

If it wasn't that much Blizzard/EA/Valve anyone who has a major launch or a sale like steam would do it for the short term benefit of no negative press, it clearly must take a lot of money/resouruces to do so, don't have a clue on figures.

its such a false economy to wait for deals to potentially get cheaper as the sales go on, for the sake of a pound or 2 id secure a game now at a price i was happy with than hoping for a possible deal which may never come

Ive got some summer cards that i wanna get shut of, but when i go to "sell items" there is no option for the "steam" items, hence not being able to sell the cards :(

Level 5 badge already! Both normal and foil.

This person's wallet is indestructible. :p

Please tell me the Foil one only goes to level 1 ><

I see Final Fantasy VII is still the same price as before. Pity. I had hoped they would at least knock a couple of pounds off =/

Also I wonder if the Bioshock Infinite season pass is worth getting now for 50% off or would it be better to wait for a higher discount...

Yeah I guess. I should just be grateful they have these sales in the first place. Still though, I'm fine with them massively throttling download speeds during sales, that is fair enough, but I can't see just the website alone costing that much to reinforce, I just wanna be able to get through checkout! :( :D

Wow, Steam really is having a lot of trouble today. I just checked my wishlist and a lot of the game prices have actually completely disappeared!

Theres a number of games I want, but I'm hesitant to buy any of them for fear Steam will lower the price even further once I have. I know its only the differece of a few pounds here or there, but its the principle of the thing...
