Steam are having a huge treasure hunt now, based on Steam achievements and other steam-related goings on. Every two days, 20 people will the top 5 games from their wishlist, and then on the 20th, one lucky person will be winning 100 games!

Every two days from now to the 20th, there will be 4 objectives to meet. Each one of these that you complete will give you an entry into the 20-man prize draw after the 48 hours are up. And if you complete any 10 of the objectives over the whole period, you will be entered into the grand prize draw!

In addition, all of the relevant games are discounted so more people can buy them to complete the objectives!

But wait, there's more! The world's favourite war-themed hat simulator is getting in on the act! Complete 5 objectives for a bounty hat! Complete 15 objectives for a Treasure hat! And complete all 28 objectives for the Hat of Undeniable Wealth and Respect! Your TF2 character will never have been so successful!

To qualify for the Grand Prize Drawing you must log into Steam any time on December 20th (12:01am - 11:59pm Pacific Time)

Well, technically since they seem to be discounting the games related to the achievements, this could be the start of the sale.

I assume thats why they included a 'Make an avatar'. Chances are they'll have 1 of each requiring no game per set, though you'd still need to have some games to get the last 3. Hardly unfair from there point of view considering they're been discounted and they are a business after all.

This. One free. 2 indie/super cheap then 1 more expensive. £3 for both PNATI and Chime is nothing.

Personally I think it's great because Indie devs get to see an increase in sales/exposure and whilst I can't normally afford to pay £7 or so for a single indie game, I always snap them up in sales. Few pennies for a good few hours of entertainment/laptop playable games.

The prize draw is just an added incentive; they'll almost certainly have an Xmas sale.
