Speaking of which i need to prod you sometime about gifting Reckless Disregard :p Heard its entertaining so worth a couple of quid.

I would put Borderlands up there but it doesn't seem to accept the GotY edition and just reverts it to the original.
 
Ah seems you have to close Undergarden for it to tick it as played. And i will but you always seem to be an hour or 2 offline when i look for you :p
 
Er, ok....so Ive loaded up Steam now a couple of times just to make sure, and all 6 of the possible 8 Treasure Hunt achievements Ive got have disappeared :(

Anyone else having this issue??

EDIT: Now that is bizarre, Steam is starting without logging me in. I can then log in IN a window. Its never done that to me before. I have auto log in. Anyone know whats going on?

EDIT 2: Ive forced log out, and re typed my details and tried again. Steam loads up, "logging into blah blah", my friends list is there, but no wishlist, and all the treasure shiz reset. Refreshing didnt work, but going back and forward did. Now it appears im FULLY logged in. Strange.

You can log into your Steam account in your regular web browser to check your Treasure Hunt achievements status, it doesn't have to be done through your Steam client. You probably know but in case you don't.

Yeah, but thanks for taking the time bud.

Very odd, Ive had Steam pretty much since inception and have never witnessed that. Getting paranoid after reading all those hacked account threads I suppose, seems to be ok now though. SEEMS to be.

And who exactly is any of this hurting? It encourages people to buy games that happen to be discounted for the purposes of it, but you also have to actually PLAY those games to get the objective and with a combined total of 24 objectives and you only requiring 10 for the main draw its not exactly difficult. If this was merely a sale with changing items every 2 days nobody would be complaining (except when it was never something they wanted). And if it taps into 'gambling addiction' then frankly people need to go to meetings...

Agreed. This is a good way of getting people to play the games, not just buy them. I must admit that i once did buy a game (Worms Reloaded) for the TF2 hat, never got past training in the game :( but really like my renamed 'Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch' helmet.

You could just try the imfamous steam cureall of deleting clientregistry.blob. Failing that reinstall steam. Does sound pretty weird though.
