Stick the view to Small Mode - it's quite similar to the old-school list style

Some people will never like change, regardless of any possible improvements. Fortunately they usually get ignored, otherwise I would dread to think what kind of a rut humanity would be in!

don't like this new font on the friends list

needs to be in bold font tbh :rolleyes:

need an option to have the old style

new one just doesn't look right

have got it looking better now with bold font (without avatars etc)

need to maybe change the steam bg etc as it seems dark but it looks better

How did you do that?

The only real thing that annoys me is the friends list.
The text looks stick like and the colour of it seems a lot duller than the old friends list. It is also quite hard to see when an alert pops up with a chat from a friend when in game:

Yup, hating the new font, way too thin/small.

The only plus side for me so far is the improved speed in the in-game browser.

Also, I note that my email address has changed back to unverified. :/

it is easier to read, if it was same spaced, but bolder, and stronger colour wise, it would be perfect

I dunno if its the new UI but twice today I've had the image lockup in games, but sounds continue playing, PC passes all stability tests and never done that before or in games without steam running.

Try deleting the registry blob thingymajig. Can never remember the name of it but its one you delete to solve most steam related glitches >< As mine is still verified.

I like the update, makes a nice change as the old one was starting to look dated in the newer OS. I'm all up for new things, definitely embrace change.

I'm going to try to get the skin to look similar to the old one

I made a little mumble skin which looked like steam so will maybe use the graphics and colours from that.

Might take a while tho as a lot of the steam skin coding isn't commented properly
