ok first off just built a new system and installed dow 2 is there anyways to stop steam from auto updating the game ive disabled it in the options but it is still going to take an hr or so to play the game. with my internet not being good atm waitin for bt to fix a fault. lookin for a way to by pass the auto update and just play the game

It needs autoupdate to play I believe.

Have you tried DCing from the internet, or is DOW2 online only?

ive tryed DCing no effect just starts up dating again woldn't mind it so much if my internet was running as it should atm its worse than dialup been waitin since 5pm it says theres a hr to go lol

When you install any game on Steam you have to download any updates initially. Once that's done then you can set it to prevent any future updates, and it won't attempt to after that.
