Hello GD,
I need some decisions and help on Steamers, not the type that you put carrots and peas in, but the handheld type used for cleaning.

I've read very mixed reviews quite frankly, I've always fancied the Multi 10 in 1 machines that I see on the shopping channels when I'm flicking through but they get mixed reviews.

Even the Karcher: http://www.karcheroutlet.co.uk/products/product.asp?id=5016 gets so so reviews (theres another karcher that is upright available)

So GD, what do you have?

recently purchased a karcher something or other from Argos is was £129 quid :(

We have slate tile floors that are not smooth and I cleaned every tile by hand, the difference was just amazing. No amount of scrubbing would have done the job. Also used it in the bathroom etc and works a treat.

a lot of the cheap ones are generally crap (because the boiler is to small or they just dont generate enough steam pressure) and your better off using the steam function on an iron lol....

I thought this was going to be some sort of faeces related thread.

You are not alone ;)

I was expecting pics and drama.

On topic though you can get good cheap steamers as my ma bought me one for xmas for cleaning the bathroom etc.Its simply amazing for cleaning tiles, toilet, bath and floors and carpets too.I think she paid £135 for a mini steamer.the problem is the time it takes for the pressure to build up.I normally get the tiles and bath done and its time to refill and wait 40 mins for more steam.Worth it though.

One of the more reputable manufacturers is located in Cleveland I think, although their exact name escapes me at the minute. Best Google "Cleveland Steamer"...... Oh, and make sure safe search is off.

£135 is not a cheap steamer.

A cheap steamer is one of the £20-£50 ones that have a tiny boiler
