its not light at all. its actually very weighty.

the feel of the mouse is great. I will be doing a full review by next week

Being one of the lucky ones to also receive this mouse for use at home whilst gaming, I can safely say it is a clear step above my last mouse, which is the Rival. The extra weight makes the Rival 700 even better, the OLED screen is a fun addition, and the haptic feedback is a great feature, your mouse rumbling to tell you that you only have 5 bullets left in your AK-47 on CS:Go is brilliant, stops you running out mid fire-fight & also those early reloads that can cost you your life! Even little things like the choice of braided or non braided cable and being able to swap out the sensor or top cover to suit your tastes are brilliant little touches that add to the premium feel of this mouse. I'm surprised that it costs so little considering what it offers to the table, it will take some more time before I can fully comment but I'm fairly confident this will be one of the best gaming mice available on the market.

stopped reading there. Casual mouse for casual gamers.

it feels around the same as a deathadder in terms of weight. chug is comparing it to a rival 300, a mouse that is extraordinarily lighter than most other mice in its class.

as I said, I am doing a proper run down on it when I get the chance.

if you have nothing to contribute to the thread other than crap wisecracks then jog on.

I did, you got mail my friend :)

the mouse is 135g

5g more than a rival 300.
30g more than a deathadder chroma
45g more than an FK1

It feels heavier than the 300 but is really down to build quality being higher and feeling more substantial.

tough to explain but ill get to it.

rjk have you encountered any difficulties getting Steel Engine to detect the mouse? It's showing in my device manager as SteelSeries Rival 700 but SS Engine is just asking me to connect a supported device :/

Just spent 3hrs trying to get SSEngine to detect the mouse to no avail, given up for tonight :(

First impressions of the mouse disregarding the software issue is positive, next to me previous Razer Mamba it is much better put together and the weight difference is negligible. Will play some csgo with it tomorrow and give a more indepth analysis along with some pictures :)

Nom nom.... I have the steelseries rival mouse at the moment which is great so will probably use that to death before picking this up. Looks and sounds epic

I've got a Sensei at the moment that I've had since release. It's getting quite worn now though, so thinking of treating myself to this one

Managed to get the mouse working with the latest software :D

In regards to the weight it's 15g heavier than my old Mamba but this isn't really noticable, of course this is a matter of preference however I prefer a heavier mouse than mouse due to having more control over it when gaming.

The Tactile feedback is very good and not intrusive when gaming at all, it's less powerful than the vibration of my Samsung phone as a reference point and surprisingly very quiet when operating aswell, this was one thing I was skeptical about with this mouse before was the motor being too loud however it's very good.

The Amoled screen on the side is very nice and delivers a bright, crisp image although it can be disabled in the software if you prefer to have it off at any point. In terms of features I'll be honest and say I haven't really found anything that will give real benefit in the games I play (Mostly FPS) but I'm sure this will change as more developers add their coding to SSE to support their games.

The actual feel of the mouse takes a bit of getting used to depending on what you've used before, it has a very bumpy grip on each side however you soon don't notice it anymore and I found myself never having to adjust my grip. General operation of the mouse I found to be quieter than my previous Razer, this is due to the solid build quality of the unit, I tried tapping both devices on my mouse pad and there is noticeably less rattling from the Rival than the old mouse so this should hopefully translate into a better lifespan of the product aswell.
