Steelseries vs Razer

Why did you choose to sell the 7G? I'm hoping to get one to upgrade my crappy non-branded wireless keyboard :P.

Did you upgrade from the 7G and what were your experiences with it?

I have the 6G V2 and love it. My experience is perfect, though late night gaming can be a little noisy as the keyboard is more noisy than a membrane one. It is a nice noise though, clackety clack. :D

I've owned a razer habu ( quality average)
razer copperhead (decent)
razer barricuda headset, which was shocking in quality

never again, logitech forever

I had a Razer Copperhead for a number of years. I was gaming with it one day and the connected area between the wire and the mouse melted and burned my finger, leaving a mark.

I contacted Razer, gave them proof and they offered me a new mouse. I never got round to it. I wonder if I ever could have gotten thousands off them :P.

i prefer razer. had the copperhead for years, its never skipped a beat. have the megalodon's for about a month. no problems yet.

the thing about razer is they are not afraid of making new things. ss have about what? 20 different mice? how much more can u do to a product, razer are making inovations, the switchblade, project fiona, that motion sense thing. i cant check thair site cause they are supporting against sopa(quite right)

Bought the razer deathadder over the Steelseries as the razer has better tracking in games, got the Steelseries 9hd hard mouse pad and love it.

Great mice Razer, got a Deathadder, but I have a broken Lachesis & spare are non existent.
Found their customer service is terrible, trying to rma the Lachesis, wouldn't accept it because serial number was faded & hard to read..

Steelseries has never let me down. I own a 7H 7G and a Sensei as well as some other gear, going to be checking out the new products they recently released too. I have found that steel series products tend to be sleeker and more stylish, razer gear may be all flashy and what not but hey brilliant. As for performance, I will go with SS every time. Not to mention the solid build quality.

I have a Razer Abyssus, Lycosa (both mirror edition) and a chimera headset.

I love razer, although it is expensive and the CS is plonk. They are good whilst they work!

Me, I'm a steelseries man, always releasing new products, undoubtedly the best mouse for playing an fps (sensei) and I love the customization . Gotta go with them.

Personal Preference:

SteelSeries. I'd prefer Logitech over both those though :p

Hate the Razer stuff, it's overpriced and just doesn't feel good.

My Steelseries mouse mat is lovely though :)

I have owned and used a Razer Lachesis for nearly three years now. I paid more than sixty quid for it at the time and this for me was pretty expensive and the most I had ever paid for a mouse by far. Still working perfectly after racking up many hours of gaming and general PC use. I also have a Razer mouse mat with Razer wrist support. The mouse mat is excellent can't remember the name of it but its metal with two different surfaces for different styles of gameplay. The wrist support is fine although the logo came off pretty quickly from memory.
I have a microsoft keyboard that was built in conjunction with razer again can't remember the name but it illuminates a nice blue colour which matches my mouse. Keyboard was only twenty five quid and is also still going strong. I have never used any steelseries products but always thought the prices were a bit high. I get regular updates from Razer through facebook and they seem to be very active in the world of PC gaming. I would definately buy another Razer product in the future.

Have had both razor and steelseries, am now with the steelseries because my razor died..

The steelseries has lasted a fair bit longer, but i do love my razor mousepad - other than the metal strip which makes your wrists cold :/

Razor looks cooloer though doesnt it!?

I have a few razer mice and a steelseries keyboard. Love the mice, the keyboard works as it should do.

Have to say the razer stuff looks way cooler :p
