Steelseries xai help

Ok got w7 and grabbed the 1.4.2 firmware, loaded it up and worked fine except bfbc2 didn't like crouching hmm.

Anyway removed the mouse tried my da no problems, put the xai back in now the lcd is white and it won't recognise the mouse grr.

Can anyone help?

Yup all works fine bar this mouse, tried different ports. Now removed the software to see if w7 defaults work.

Thanks, seems the w7 defaults didn't work neither, plus i couldn't scroll through the profile menu's like you should be able to.

Also it wouldn't boot with it plugged in, seems some boards need a bios update to fix it as it doesn't like x5 boards grr

Sigh gonna be a long night.

Well plugged it into another computer, booted fine but the mouse still played up.

So it is indeed a duff mouse, shame i'll send it back for another, if that doesn't work then i'll have to get me a refund and a roccat kone+ instead

Thanks, for the brief period it worked in bfbc2 it was gorgeous. Tracked much better than my da and made sniping near perfect, had a good weight and felt solid.

Guy is a good seller so i'll give one more a go, after that it's refund time for a roccat kone+

Hope you get it working hux, I have had no problems with mine. Same drivers on Win7 64.

Like you said, when it works it is a dream. I love mine.

Indeed, i loved how you could tweak every aspect, i had it set to be not fast when say assault, but accelerates fast when needed. And the second cpi was perfect for sniping.

Such a damn shame, though it wouldn't scroll through the profiles and the wheel would stick when pushed left, so clearly something was wrong to begin with.

Papalaz do you set polling to 1000hz, heard some need to set it to 500hz otherwise it causes issues?

Anyway it's either this or the roccat as they both are very similar in performance as they share the same software and have similar tweaks.

Got mine on 450 as standard.

I don't really use too many of the gizmos on it tbh. I just tried clicking the wheel left, not sure if it is meant to as mine only goes right as well?

For CP2 I have it on 900, which I only really use when in a tank, or AA on BC2 as it makes the gun move around really fast.

The pointer speed is on the 6th notch as it did cause me problems using windows changing it to anything else.

I only really bought it for the shape as I am a leftie.

Well i've fired them an email saying id like a refund, they have a 7 day policy anyway so that's fine no response as of yet mind.

Damn shame mind as i was really looking forward to it, now have a roccat kone+ on the way seeing as it's similar anyway.
