Steering wheel refurbs?

Another reccomendation for Royal's.

Did a great job on my 370z wheel. Half leather, half alcantara, reshaped to incorporate flat bottom and made a few mm's thicker all round.

Interested in this for the Mx5. If 'Snappy' is in Stoke On Trent that's even easier for me than royal steering.

I was talking to the trimmer that done my roof about getting mine done, he was charging £170. Now I just need to decide if I want alcantra, a standard leather, leather reversed or something else. What do people think gives the best feel?

Royal charges £150. Mine ended up costing £20. because I was able to keep my old wheel, which I then sold for £120 minus the airbag centre bit and surrounding trim/buttons.

I just got lucky that time I guess.

Alcantara feels the best, but it looks worn/faded quicker. I opted for standard leather, not Nappa, and double padding for extra thickness with perforated side grips for a nicer feel.

Anyone have any recommendations on trimmers for interior parts. Royal won't do them. But want a few interior parts retrimmed,

Royal quoted me £130 and £9.99 shipping for a slightly thicker wheel with perforated edges or £120 and £9.99 shipping for pretty much OEM look, I will track this other guy down first for a chat :)
