Stellar Blade (June 2025)

enjoyed it for about 2/3 hours in just got a load of preorder chests with some new clothes in a new area :) not up to nier standards for me so far though but never played it on ps5 when it was released so picked it up for pc. the boss fights are good but i have only came across two so far.

best played on keyboard or controller ? is it a bit easier than souls like games as i am not a fan of them, terrible at the more challenging combat

I played on controller. And I’d say it’s more about timing. So if you can time your parries, you’ll be mostly okay. If not pop it on story mode. You can block too. Dodge is almost useless.
 
Is this game popular due to obvious reasons or is it actually a good game?
Bit of an odd question, because Steam is filled with games where the main protagonist is showing way more skin than this game and hardly any of those are popular. If a game is popular and getting good reviews, its usually because its a good game.

The guy behind it is a big Nier Automata fan and the game takes a lot of inspiration from it, so if you like Nier you will probably like this. I am enjoying it a lot so far, but I haven't been able to sink a ton of time into it yet.

I would say Nexus but well they've been ban happy for stuff they don't like for few years now

From what I've read about that, the only people getting upset about it are the people who get triggered by A/B body type option, so no loss.

I can kinda see why people would be against censorship in that sense, but at the same time if such a thing in a game upsets you so much why are you buying it anyway?
