I've broke the stereo socket on the front of my case so the pc won't recognise my headphones when I plug them in. The back is already in use with my speakers.
I used to be able to make my headphones work in any socket on the motherboard or I/O panel. Just plug them in and I had a menu pop up to select which device I had plugged in wether it be headphones or microphone etc.
I used to do this on XP but now I'm on Win7, is there a way to do this with Win7 or not? . It's on an old P5N-E SLI.
