Steve Cotterill sacked...

Looks like Darren Ferguson is the favourite looking at the odds at the bookies.

SC did a good job with what resources he had, however I don't think he is the right man to take the club forward. I hope he was rewarded with a decent pay off.

I'd like Warnock, McCarthy or Billy Davies.

Two years remaining on contract (with an option for a third) so guess he won't be short a bob or two.

Ahh carp...

Que the idiots.

Honestly, this starts the whole ball rolling, expectations go through the roof, the tools that drove the sadly departed ex owner away will be leading the charge.

Don't get me wrong, forest were in a hole and needed something, but id have been happy with steady eddy something.

It doesn't work out.. aka promotion, the bit mob that dumped us where we were, will drive the same wedge in to the new owner as they did the last.

Take your pick at a new boss, as long as it ain't warnock. All the love i had for everything he did at notts has gone out the window in the last season or two. His after match interviews when he doesn't get the result have been absolutely vile in most cases, blaming officals and players with some of the most darkest nasty comments i have ever seen from a manager.

Thats why Fernandes gave him the bullet from Qpr, i don't want that anywhere near forest.

Billy or Bryan Roy....

^^ I for one wouldn't mind Billy Davies back again, oh and couldn't agree more about not wanting Neil Warnock.

Oh and news conference on Saturday so not long to wait...

Please no to Warnock, not sure about Billy.

Thank you Cotterill. Not most people's cuppa, but we're not L1 thanks to your efforts and I'm sure we'd be owner-less otherwise...

Bookies favourite is now Glen Hoddle. I'd love him to be at Forest, he'd know all the untapped talent from his academy, exactly what we need to build from.

He also plays attractive football, arguably the best performing England side from 2000 onwards until he listened to his hairdresser and went a bit mental on the faith healing.

Couldn''t have happened to a nicer bloke, I've got a deep loathing for Cotteril for the lack of respect he showed Stoke back in the day

Allways remember being at the game on keanes first return to the city ground, getting stick would be understating it.

Keane seems to move on pretty fast these days though, water on the back id imagine.

Word to the wise on sky news is all about mick mcarthy. Hit and Miss, for every two steps forward he takes his teams, there's allways one step back imho.

It'll work, but i realy can't see a long term future in it, very much a man who builds a team to get get done, unlucky at wolves with individuals letting him down in the end.

Plus side though, we might get Ardlene back:)

I'm grateful to Cotterill for his deals in January and results that followed, honestly most people have no idea at the mess that came before him or the state it was in, harsh to see him be sacked but predictable.

I'd be chuffed with Mick, best track record out of available managers by some way really and will quell some of the egos that seem to be in our dressing room at the moment. Aim for now is to get promoted and nothing else, worry about managers in the prem when we get there.

Oh and jeez, stop with the Billy Davies faux messiah guff :p.

Is there anyone left to have an ego, last I heard the squad was down to 18 players?
