Steve Kean Sacked/Resigned.

I was going to say I was baffled as to why they didn't just sack him but then I remembered... £££

He said that talks had gone positively earlier on - he obviously got back to the office and found all the locks had been changed while they were in the meeting. :D

They have most of their Premiership squad and with the addition of players like Jordan Rhodes, Nuno Gomes and Danny Murphy they should be walking the Championship not making an OK start.

That's like saying City should be walking the PL though

As a neutral, I have to say, nobody is missing blackburn in the PL :p

Why place all the blame on the manager? He wasn't the one kicking the ball around. Blackburn were **** and got relegated.

And again, as a neutral, he always seemed to carry himself with dignity last season. Blackburn fans turned feral against their own club, but he didn't react to it or cave in to the pressure. Seemed like an OK chap.

Won't dignify that garbage with a response, it doesn't deserve it.

Aren't you at all worried about who the Venky's advisers are going to suggest as his replacement?

Very worried.

Where are Blackburn going to go from here?

Keane was half the problem, the other half is the owners.

Its dragged on far too long really, it wasn't benefitting anyone with him staying on. Should never have been appointed in the first place. I thought he would hold out to be sacked though to collect his big paycheck. I can't see many other teams queueing up to have him as manager.

The fans have been willing their team to lose just to see the back of him, which in itself is crackers, but now they've got what they wanted they've now got to sit back and watch these lot put another manager in place. Do Blackburn fans trust them to get it right?

Go for someone like shearer and it'll be a while before they see the premiership again. Any other manager willing to work with this lot will have serious flaws and poor judgement, it's a no win scenario for me until the owners go.

He will take them to court for making his job untenable, which he has a massive case for and IMO will probably win. He's probably been waiting for that final piece as instructed by his legal team and now plans his case for compensation. Kean won't walk away from this a poor man, I can see him get his contract paid in full.

It's a bout time really isn't it? No idea why they got rid of Big Sam. At least Sam made them hard to beat and a solid mid table team.

Big Sam comes with a big (and completely unjustified) ego. Clearly fell out with the new owners and lost his job.

Blackburn just need the owners to be a bit passive and sign up someone sensible to manage them, missed out on Hughton who would have been perfect and instead just need any old manager than can hold the dressing room for the rest of the season to go back up.

It could be argued that you need to have an ego to be successful in management.
