55 is no age at all. The best music came from the lat 70's to mid 80's in my opinion. From 1986 and the arrival of house things went downhill quickly. Rest in peace Steve Strange.

Thanks to you, your quirkiness and desire to push boundaries and fashion rules, and the Blitz club, so many great artists have careers they wouldn't of had otherwise.

Cheers for all the great sounds (and at time laughable fashion faus pars )

Sad that he's died so young, but there has always been an ongoing dispute between the band's members over his contribution to Fade To Grey. Ok, he sang the lyrics and was the face of the group, but without the talents of Billy Currie, Chris Payne and Midge Ure the band would never have existed.

What a shame. 55 is no age (I'm only 6 or so years off that now) I didn't like him at the time, but looking back now he shaped some of the early 80's music, the New Romantic era in particular. Which is pretty good music now compared with some of the tat in the charts these days.
