Giving it to Rooney would be a mistake but i can definitely see Hodgson giving it to him if i'm being honest.

I think who ever said give it to Cahill is probably right, seems to always give 100% in any game he is involved in.
 
Cahill is quality for me, and by far and away our best centre half, so can think of no one else better for the captaincy.
 
I'd want Cahill. You don't need to be really vocal to be captain. I can see him being the kind that leads by example.

England, unfortunately, don't have a lot of natural 'captains' at the moment. A bit controversial perhaps, but I would go for Joe Hart. Why? Well, he is, more than anyone else, guaranteed his place in the national team. He comes across as quite mature and sensible, and he is still likely to be there in 10 years time.
