Hi I have been given an xps 710 h2c watercooling Pc which is 4 months old, with a qx6700 processor on board, beforehand I started to coleect component's to build a pc ie, lian li v2100, memory, powersupply etc.
Would you stick and upgrade the dell xps or build a custom Pc, and advice/suggestions would be appreciated. ;)

Personally I'd just build a kind of Frankensteins monster out of the best parts from both but maybe that isn't an option for you. If you are happy with the XPS then just use that and upgrade as/when necessary. :)

sounds pretty beastly anyway mate, id stick with it but replace the case if its not cool nuff. apart from that, and you dont ahve any issues with the machine that you would be able to iron out with a custom. then keep it!

Well what is the question here? The XPS seems like a good PC but all replies so far have suggested taking parts from it and utilising some of the parts you already have to get the best of all so posting the specification doesn't really make much odds unless you want someone to say that you should leave it as it is. :)

AND YOUR MESSAGE IS..

I made it pretty simple - "What is the question?" or in other words the point to this thread? You have been given some advice about what other people here would do in your situation and then you repeated the specification of your PC for some reason - it looks like it could either be boasting or post count boosting. Neither of which is entirely necessary. The XPS as I've maintained throughout is a good PC, if you don't want to change anything about it then don't because it will be perfectly fine as it is. :)
