Im torn between moving over to an Intel 2600k rig and making it really small or wait or stick with what i got which is

AMD X2 555 BE unlocked to X4 OC @ 4.6 GHZ | ASUS Crosshair IV Formula
Corsair XMS3 4GB @ 1800 7-7-7-20 | Asus 6950 REV1 flashed to 6970 X3
OCZ Vertex 2E60 GB X3 RAID0 | Corsair AX1200 | Lian Li A05B Modded
Ek Water Cooling | Windows 7 Ultimate

The cooling is external so the option to water cool still is there and be really small.

Just duno what to do! Sell the current rig and buy thr 2600k stuff and make it an uber small setup

Well first off, do you feel like you don't have enough power? If you know that what you've currently got isn't giving you enough power, then there should be no dispute between whether you should upgrade or not.

What do you use it for? If it is a gaming PC, then an i5 2500K will suffice because games do not make use of the hyperthreading feature enabled in the i7. However, if you do a lot of video/picture editing and use software that makes use of hyperthreading, going for the i7 will be the wise choice.

Also, what is your budget?

No budget at all. I use it for everything and anything

Alright then, could you give me a maximum you want to spend. I could quite easily go over £2,000, but there is no point if you have only got £1000 to spend.

There is no bugedt, you can spec me a £2000 system and i will buy the parts for less than that.

£1000 for instance. Something really small is tewmpting

Keep what you have and wait for Sandybridge-E.

You cant possibly be struggling with a tri-fire setup and a quad core heavily overclocked CPU.

Why have you specced him more ATI cards? hes already got three, unlocked too.

Why not re-use his RAM, SSD etc?

And a Darkfleet case isnt small is it?

The simplest thing to do is buy a new motherboard and CPU and maybe a case but you already have a Lian-Li A05 which is small'ish.

Well your current rig looks awesome, maybe if you do more than gaming, you would see the benefit from a x6 amd chip but you should wait for the newer sandybridges and get a new mobo/cpu then imo.

You wouldn't really see any benefit in gaming by going for an X6 as games do not use more than 4 cores.
