As the title says, my PC when I switch it on occasionally (every few days) hangs on the Windows Loading screen. I have to reset it and select Load Windows Normally after which it works properly. Anyone come across this odd problem? Windows 7 64 bit by the way and it is overclocked and works perfectly once I have a successful boot.

I have this problem aswell, check you're event logs in the boot section. Look for event numbers/ID's between 100 and 110. Microsoft released a hotfix for this which is included in Service Pack 1 but the problem still persists for me.

It will hang for about 40 seconds which makes you think its crashed but simply taking its time due to some error. Check what the event log says and then search the event ID's.

To find the events, Application and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Diagnostics-Performance > Operational.
