Still having a lock up issue....

Thanks mate... yeah i used to think it was the PSU before i bought the overclock bundle.....I bought it as part of a whole system from Mesh, the system came to about 1600 overall at the time.
I did think it would be okay though since the PSU is 950 watts which should be enough but its about 3 years old now so it could be a little faulty.

What would you reccommend then if i decide to get a new PSU

Also i know the MB isnt the best for crossfire as one card runs at x16 and the other only runs at x4. Ill eventually be going to a single card solution but at the moment i just want to try and fix this issue.
950 watts should be fine shouldnt it...but like you said if its not a good brand or its a cheap one then it could be that which is causing the issues.

Have you overclocked your GFX cards?

I was having issues with Firefox "Not Responding" all the time, i went through all sorts of things, taking RAM out, unplugging hard drives and DVD drives, removing CPU overclock....

What did eventually stop the lock ups happening so often was reducing the overclock on the GFX cards which were fine temp wise and would run benchmarks such as Heaven and 3DMark with the full overclock.

Yeah my cards have always been overclocked. Iv never had any artifacts though and every game used to run fine.
I do occasionally get an issue with firefox if i have too many windows up firefox will freeze and it takes awhile for it to get going again.
