Still no proper(crossfire) dual x16 pcie boards?

I thought the p35 series was meant to introduce proper x16 pci-e slots? So far all ive seen is motherboards claiming to have 2 x16 slots but one is always "4x electrical". :confused:
 
RD600 based boards (effectively only the DFI one as far as I'm aware) will do dual x8, which appears to be better than x16/x4.

Asus ROG P35 boards will have a crosslinx chip on them that divides PCI-E lanes into 2*8 speed when used in dual GPU mode.

Thats still a pretty big step back from 16x16 which was common with 939 and 775. :(
 
Nope because 16x16 is only a benefit in mohassive resolutions, being as crossfire is now said to scale very well, and the only crossfire 775 boards are 8x8 must mean crossfire works very well under these conditions.
