Still too noisy, need more rads!

Look much better mate :) wondering why you dont have push pull in the top?

here is my set up

As you can see i removed the top tier 5.25 bay to be so i can have 3 120mm fans on the bottom of the rad, i have 2 x 200 mm fans in the roof, this helps keep this cool and quiet, not water cooling the GPU as its cool and quiet as it is, tho might change my mind on that later

XSPC RX rads are best for cool and quiet setups as the are better suited to low RPM fans, where rad similar to the XSPC EX rads are better suited to 1200 plus RPM fans

Its all trial and error mate ;)

The whole plan in the first place was to get the old setup into a tidy new case with similar noise and temps.
I have now got the temps down to where they were but I now have push pull on both rads whereas before I only had pushers and I have put both pumps in the loop in series to boost flow rate,(which it did but gained me about .5c) and it's much louder:(

Maybe I seriously underestimated my spindly XSPC rad, I don't know the series but it has a single row of 13 tubes and it looks like the middle tube is not connected looking at the shape of the end tanks so that's 6 each way. I replaced it with an alphacool XT45 that has two rows of 14 tubes.

My next mission is to put the old rad back in the loop instead, it will give me more clearance over the optical drive but martinsliquidlab.org rated an XT45 360 much better than any of the XSPC rads:confused:

I'm going to have to get more case fans now too, I'm too chicken to fit the Delta AFB1212VHE's I have here, they nearly cost me a finger last time I used them!

TBH dont think that there is a great deal between any of them, but every little helps :)

The only reason i mention the XSPC RX rads is because the have low FPI so better suited to low RPM fans, like i also said im no expert and only passing on what i read from my own reseach, im only cooling the cpu, thats only at 4.2 and about 1.2 volts, my idle temps are 25 to 27 idle, my pump speed is on 2, my fans are on the second lowest setting and my prime95 temps are 60c max, with just a EX 360 rad, can get temps lower with a little more noise but tbh its dont bother me that much, its only around 50c when gaming :)

What's the pump you are using now (might have missed it) ?

If the rads you are running are high FPI and your fans are low static pressure then they will make a lot of noise but not move much air.

I have a D5 feeding 360RX/240RX with GT's cooling 3x670's/RIVE/3930@5GHz and it's enough to keep the rig cool/quiet. The RX's are low FPI and the GT's have good static pressure ratings so I can run them fairly slow.

I'm using a XSPC dual bay pump/res. Not the greatest pump but I tried with an eihim 1250 in series and got minimal improvement.
Currently I have it setup like this.

The rads are an alphacool XT45 420 and a DangerDen xtreme 240.
For fans I have the NZXT 140 case fans for pullers and bitfenix spectre pros on the 420 and unknown 1600 rpm 120's on the 240.

I'm not sure what has happened but my temps are now down to what I had before, I'm beginning to suspect that I had an airlock in one of the rads:o with the rads loose it's super easy to flip them about to get all the air out and it's more of a mission with this great lump! I think with all the changes I clamp pipes and swap out bits without draining the loop I have eventually bled it out properly.

I am going to have to get more fans for the intakes, if I could get gentle typhoons in 140 mm I would!
