Stock e8600 - comments on temps/voltages please?

Okies,

Went back into bios and disabled C1E in Advanced>CPU settings.

i do believe this has done the trick. CPUZ is now reporting idle core voltage of 1.16v up from between 1.036 and 1.056v previously. Idle temps are a fraction higher on one core now.....45 and 40.

i shall do a Prime 95 to see if there has been any adverse effects.

This look sensible to you now Cob?

Yip it looks fine. You can set the CPU voltage to 1.2125v or thereabouts to match your VID.

Just to back up what Cob's saying, that all looks fine now...

Make sure it's Prime stable, check temps and then get clocking!

Ive run prime a few times - but only for max 30 mins.

is there a recomended test in Prime95 for stating its "prime stable"?

If you guys let me know I will run it!

Cheers guys and thanks so much for all of your help.

just got my 1Tb drive initialized and installed now the O/S is stable on the 320 gb drive. yay.

Blend is the toughest, tho Small FFT's is normally good enough if your memory isn't overclocked.

Cool. ill prime it for a couple of hours on blend then.

Cheers Cob.

back soon when i start to learn how to O/C (yes i will read the stickies first).
