That may be because I'm not really running F@H anymore :p
2 PCs are still but that's because I haven't got round to uninstalling as there's not much point leaving it on as they're on only a few hours a day.

every little helps! :p
I'd just re-configure them for deadlineless work and forget about them

so you got something else on your main machine or are you wasting all those cycles now? :p

Erm wasting? Tbh it's either being used or it's not on :o
Just taking a break from it and keeping things clean on my main machine if I can.

Suppose I just got a bit bored of F@H :( Don't hurt me :o

ah well - guess it's not for everyone - glad you gave it a try at least :)
It used to be and I used to do seti for ages before F@H, guess I just got bored of it all :o

Well it's 2 blade centres really, but neither are full.

It'll be the moment of truth tomorrow, will see if the system can fold and do it's 'proper' work at the same time without being to slow. Stuff the proper work I say :D

Rick.

hmmm, Theres a school I do some support for, wonder if they will notice folding on their work stations, 200 or so desktops should make all the difference :D

Go for it :p

in a non job-threatening way, of course.

Either way it looks like I'll be under your stomping boot soon!
I would do, but last time I asked they said no, (silly people)

maybe I could rename it to System Idle Process

Sneak it on a few at a time, see if its noticed :D
I find the name winlogin works a treat ( but you need it to log in, h'onist gov ).

Babyface UK

That renaming trick worked in the days of SETI Classic but as the Folding client is separate from the core which does all the work, I can't see how it can be done for Folding :( You could rename the client, but that barely uses any CPU or memory so there's not much point. And if you rename the core the software won't find it and will just download a new one.
