A really great artist that in my opinion has "it". He's a sheffield bloke, but differs from the rest of the music coming from there at the moment, in my opinion he is a cut above the rest. He plays all the instruments as far as I know, but does have a live band behind him when performing. (this may not be right though)

Not sure if I like Jailbird yet, will try some more I wouldn't say it was totally refreshing.

I think by refreshing converse means, its refreshing to hear something good around at the minute.

What is so hard to understand about the reasoning behind me using the term refreshing? Everything coming out of Sheffield at the moment seems to be arctic monkeys~esque, therefore it's refreshing to see something original to come out of Sheffield, that's completely different.

Honestly, you just look like idiots really? But hey, +1 for the post count guys.

Sheffield is useful for one thing, and that's 65daysofstatic.

Also far more refreshing and different than Stoney.

the only reason you find it refreshing is because every single thread you start is about some crappy derivative indie band that sounds just like the last one. if you pulled your head out of the ground and tried something new more often, you would be more entitled to use the word "refreshed"...and maybe then, people mightn't ridicule you for claiming that the latest dull indie band is so refreshing.

that's BS. there's tonnes of bands out just like them...they're good but they're not that good.
