Stoney

the only reason you find it refreshing is because every single thread you start is about some crappy derivative indie band that sounds just like the last one. if you pulled your head out of the ground and tried something new more often, you would be more entitled to use the word "refreshed"...and maybe then, people mightn't ridicule you for claiming that the latest dull indie band is so refreshing.

just a thought

"Every single thread I start"? Well i'm sorry to break it to you, but this is the second band thread i've ever posted. But i'm sure you already spend enough time researching my posting habits to challenge this statement. Secondly, I have no need to "pull my head out of the ground"? If you think that I only listen to indie music, based on two threads with an indie band as the subject, then you are a very sad man. So, now that i've cleared up the fact that I do indeed "try something new" pretty often, am I entitled to use the word refreshed? Or is that only a word someone such as yourself can use, as seen as you are quite clearly the musically superior over someone such as myself?

In my opinion, Stoney is a great artist, and yes.. it's refreshing to hear something different come out of Sheffield under the indie-pop genre.

I'll look forward to awaiting a great superior reply, demoralising me with your superior knowledge, using facts you quite clearly know about me and my musical taste.

lots of love, craig.

well, i can see i've obviously touched quite a sore nerve there. you've resorted to sarcasm really early there. maybe i should've refined it from "every thread you start" to "every post you make".

luckily for me, your comments about my musical superiority just wash off my back. i listen to the music that i listen to for me, and me only. the only reason i choose to post in the style of my previous post is that people like you bite. the music you listen to is such a big part of this image of yourself that you're trying to create for us, it's fun to pick at it. and i can tell when i've been successful, because you get all defensive about it. just like you did there.

if you think that you're making me feel stupid with all your sarcasm, and high-and-mighty, lots-of-loves, then you're very much mistaken. all you're doing is further proving my point. and i thank you for that. you've been a fun little game.

Why are we limited to Sheffield again?

because the Arctic Monkeys put Sheffield on the map. now it's really cool to listen to every little obscure band that comes out of Sheffield, and comment on how original it is, just because they sing in a funny accent.

I think you failed to recognise my post was fairly tounge in cheek. To say "I listen to the music that I listen to for me, and only me".. is a fairly obvious comment? Who listens to music for other people?

"the music you listen to is such a big part of this image of yourself that you're trying to create for us, it's fun to pick at it."

What exactly is this music I listen to mate?

How were any of us supposed to know that you were tounge in cheek, I and Sic obviously read it as if you were throwing your rattle about?

LOLZ, hay guys i think you r taking this all 2 seriously, 1stly i was merely playin word association because everyone knows sprite is rfreshing (not like a gremlin at a country folk festival) and all i did was post another pix with contry folk because it waz in the previus post.

There's this really cool band that I've have the 2 track EP for from Sheffield. They play Parisian jazz, the kind you'd hear in the cafe in Paris. I'm definitely liking the EP, but they are only playing in underground caves at the moment, limited capacity of three (me and the band).

I might chuck the EP your way sometime though.

I have heard of them, but nobody has given it a genre name yet. I call it "Artic Edith Piaf Monkeys indie"
