Stop Partition mounting on boot.

How can I stop a partition from mounting on boot?

Specifically it is my SL Installation partition which I don't need to see during day to day use but I can always remount it should I need to.

I use the method described in this document to stop my NTFS Bootcamp partition mounting on boot. You can do the same, just make sure you choose the correct partition.

It says it's for 10.5 but I'm using the same technique with 10.6.2
