Hi guys. Ive got an NVME SSD 500gb as my boot drive and a 2TB HDD for storage. I was debating about buying a bigger SSD vs 1TB NVME. The problem with ASUS Crosshair VII that ive been reading about is the bandwith steal from graphics PCIe when both NVME are run together. What would you suggest? Keep the 500gb nvme drive for boot, buy a 2TB SSD for games, leave 2TB HDD for media? Id appreciate your help!

If it does steal pcie lanes using the second m2 slot i would buy a ssd, you wont notice any diffrence in loading times for games compatrd to an m2.

Keep your mechanical drive for storage, videos, photos, etc.

People have mentioned that unless using crossfire/sli, this shouldnt be a problem as card can be moved to the other slot so I wont rule it out completely if that offers best bang for buck. Any recommendations welcome!

If you mean moving the GPU to the other slot, that slot runs at x8 max anyway. So it'd be the same as keeping the GPU in first slot (would go from x16 to x8).

Buy a SATA SSD like Micky's suggestion.
