I was using a 64gb crucial drive as OS and my old OS drive Vraptor 300gb as temporary storage until my 2nd SSD and samsung F3 arrived.

My new drives arrived today
Well i setup RAID 0 with the SSDs, 64kb strip.
Windows 7 installed no problems, but once windows is up and running, windows is only showing 1 harddrive in My computer.

The raptor does showup though in device manager as working properly.

I've spent the last couple of hours exhausting every single bios option for sata/raid/ahci etc and cant work it out!!!

Could it be somthing simple i have missed? All my backup and important files are on there so I'd like to accesss them before i hook up the F3 as replacement.

Any help gratefully received!

In case it's mysteriously been wiped, it might be worth checking to see if empty drives are set to show up in My Computer (I have a suspicion the default might be no for some reason). Otherwise, check Disk Management and assign a drive letter as that's probably the problem. In fact, scrap the first, just go straight to Disk Management :p

I love you! disk management sorted me out had to assign drive letters hahaha.
Why have i never had to do this before?? Is it a RAID thing? as this is my first time using raid.
muchas gracias :D

I use the term "life partner" ;)

I dunno why it loses the letter, it just happens sometimes! I'm sure someone has a proper explanation. Nothing to do with RAID AFAIK.
