Hey guys,

Quick question - I have a mini-ITX ROG STRIX B450-I that I'd like to add additional storage to. I currently have one 500GB Samsung NVMe 960 pro and an old-ish 256GB SATA SSD. I'd like to add another 500GB NVMe as games are getting bigger and bigger and I'm running out of space, however I've read that this will reduce my pcie slot to running at 8x. Would this be much of an issue with a 1070? Is there a better option? I'm looking to pick something up soon so any advice would be much appreciated.

It will knock it down to x8. It isn’t going to matter.

Personally I’d replace the SATA drive with something bigger. For most things the difference between NVMe and SATA isn’t worth worrying about.
