Storage for helmet?

Hi,
What are the best ones?
At university i can store my kit in a locker (£1 a day so not ideal) but not big enough for helmet. Is there any way of attaching to bike securely? I.e. lockable tank bag? Ideally not panniers as i need to be able to filter.

Cheers guys. Had never considered a top box. I'll check out the helmet fixing on the bike as a temporary measure.

I've settled on a tank bag expandable to fit a helmet in. The place is secure enough apparently but i can still have a bicycle lock to secure it to the yoke or something.

Got myself a tank bag - £5 from eBay 2nd hand. Only used a few times then left under stairs so in near perfect condition.

Perfect. Especially as i had to travel to where i had to pick it up from and killed 2 birds with 1 stone.
