I have a large photography library and had it on my SSD until recently where its just become too large. Its now on a old internal 600gb drive. Issue is the slow speed of the drive is causing hangs and crashes with photoshop when trying to save and is loosing me files.
Is the only option here to invest in a very large SSD and use that to store the images? I was considering a USB 3.0 external drive but wasnt sure if thats faster than an old sta 7200prm drive?
Thanks for any advice here, looking to keep the cost down so was hoping to avoid splashing out on massive SSD
