Store opening times

Hi All,

Does anyone know whether the store is open for click and collect on Saturdays? I’ve placed an order to collect tomorrow and it showed opening hours as 10-4 Saturdays. However on the confirmation email and Google it only shows Monday to Friday. It’s a bit of a trek for me to get to store!

Unfortunately, OCUK sales lines are only open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.
I would advise consulting your order email which will have all the relevant information on there. Also please check out the customer service subforum for more info. The guys are great and will be very happy to assist you. :)

PLEASE kindly refrain from just turning up at OCUK HQ! :)
 
For clarification, for orders paid using credit or debit card, a collection from OcUK option should be there still for Saturdays, but with reduced hours for collection (from memory this may be 10:00-14:00, but I may be off slightly there. Your email saying it is ready to collect will say in more detail). While our walk in shop is closed, orders paid by card or by bank transfer should usually still be possible for collection from OcUK. So long as all items are in stock when your order is placed, and it does not require building by our experienced technicians, no aditional security checks are required, and it is ordered early enough for our warehouse team to process it, then collection from OcUK should be an option. Please make sure you wait to receive the email instructions saying it is ready to collect, to save a longer wait for you, and to prevent extra pressure on our brilliant warehouse team.
Sorry if that sounds a bit like a politicians response, but our sales and warehouse teams have (more than) occasionally been on the blunt end of people who've expected miracles, such as built to order systems or bundles to be ready 5 minutes after they placed the order sat on our car park, or orders to be ready as soon as we open for the day, when the order has been placed the night before while we were closed.

Thanks for the detailed reply, it's really helpful. Yes, when I placed the order it said collection is possible Saturday (albeit, wait till confirmation received). But then once I got the order email it said Monday to Friday. And then, as you say, the telephone lines are only open Monday to Friday. So it leaves me in a bit of an odd and confused position! The order is for a single CPU cooler, so not expecting miracles... I know stock can get misplaced and make things awkward though. I'll see if tomorrow morning brings a collection email?!

While I don't have the exact wording on the site when an order is placed for shop collect, I'll be honest here and say that there's been all sorts of unusual comlpications over the last 2 years, such as staffing in smaller spaces/aisles while maintaining social distancing, problems with supply with many components requiring semiconductors/chips, moving to new website, etc. But on the other hand, reasonably an order for an in stock CPU cooler that you placed fairly early in the day (from what you've said) shouldn't be an issue to be ready for collection tomorrow either, and we'll do our best to get this sorted for you.

Regarding automatic email, it may be that messages about collection or contact Mon-Fri are either referring to phone-line opening hours, or are an older email message that has been resurrected (a possible glitch on the new site, that if so, thank you for reporting) with the move to the new website. Things have been a little bit in flux, as has most of the world, to be fair.

However, in the morning, our sales and warehouse teams, we'll do our very best to get this sorted ready for you tomorrow wherever possible, so it should be fine to collect Saturday, to get you back up and running. If you can "@" quote me in to a message in the Customer Service forum, where you list your order number please, I'll try and look into this and give our warehouse team a gentle (or less gentle nudge too, as you are travelling a little further) to get this processed and sorted for you.
I hope the cooler sorts everything for you.

Is the store still allowing orders to be collected on a Saturday ? I was going to place an order tonight, should I be able to collect it tomorrow since the main store isn't open at the moment

@Drake5 Yes, collection from our premises/warehouse should typically still be fine on Saturdays, with the same caveats as in my previous reply, ie. so long as it is ordered early enough to give our very hard working warehouse team a fair chance to work through our queue of orders, so long as it in stock and not having to be built, etc.
I guess the mosty likely exception to the above (and it is pretty unlikely combination of circumstances, but not impossible) but due to the sheer number of chairs we offer, and just the size of their boxes, we have to have a quantity of them stored at another warehouse (we're big, but we're not rain forrest warehouse big). We try to keep a quantity of each at OcUK Towers, but if those have shipped out the same or previous working day, we may not have had more transfered over to our main site.
Again, pop your order number in the Customer Service forum, and myself and colleagues will try to take a look when we open, and give our warehouse team a heads up to try and get it sorted ready for you, or if there is going to be an issue we can try to advise you so you are not making a journey if there could be a reason that it not to be ready tomorrow.
