Storm in Reading

In Lower Earley, it was pretty bad but I didn't think it was anything worse than a usual thunder storm...

I was listening to music really loud though.

I would say N,E,E, just over central Reading now.

Was fairly bad down here in Cwmbran just now, quite a lot of lightning and the rain was absolutely hammering down, luckily I live at the very top of a hill so all the water runs down instead of flooding

Totally chucked in down in Newbury this afternoon but no hail. My office has a massive glass roof the noise was immense.

No rain in at all in Aldermaston though which is a bit odd, as it is in the middle of the two.

we had it in the NE the other night. everywhere flooded round here ! garden like a swamp. the rain was pretty warm too. like a tropical storm

We had the heavy rain, and thunder, but I don't think there was any hail, and that was in Central Reading, near Forbury Gardens.

The storm took the electricity out here in Southcote for about half an hour, drains couldn't cope with the deluge (front driveway flooded) and the guttering out the back couldn't cope and flooded our patio. All drained away now but was fun to watch. :D

Driving home through Bristol was not a pleasant experience this afternoon. It came down so fast at one point just after 4pm that it couldn't clear off the roads and cars were splashing waves of water over eachother. Wish people driving in this type of weather would put their flipping lights on, because due to the sheer amount of rain, I couldn't see the other cars on the road clearly.

We had a ton of thunder and lightning in Central Oxford earlier. Sucks working on a refurbishment project which has holes in the roof, therefore the interior of the building got soaked. My office stayed dry though, bonus! :)
