strange, any ideas

i have built a PC for my mate, running 2 x1900 in crossfire, we were all excited when it can to our first 3d mark 05, enabled crossfire on the catalyst, so i assume as there was no errors we have got them working together, as we have never built a duel card system, when opened it hung just before the loading screen(black screen), pressed alt and F4 to abort the benchmark, so thought id done something wrong, disabled crossfire and ran it on one card (didnt actually remove it, just disable it in catalyst) then ran 3d mark and got 10700 running all stock on the crossfire edition card. any ideas what the problem could be, its the asus board and the master card is furthest away from the cpu as it says in the manual, but ati website has it the other way round

Well try swapping the cards round and see what happens. Also what power supply are you using?

tried swapping cards, blank screen, just asked one of the lads at work and he said dont use the catalist, just use the drivers that came with the crossfire card, well see what happens
