Strange BT HomeHub 3 issue

Ah - that doesn't bode well for the future for those of us trying to get our Type A's replaced then. :(

Doesn't surprise me mind you - same manufacturer and practically the same device after all.

Well, I tried an Intel Pro 1000 dual gb PCIe server card and it does exactly the same thing ... nothing, still can't access any websites, although it claims I have a working network and access to the internet. Strange, so after a clean Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit install and a new NIC, it still didn't work.

I've reverted back to old trusty and will use the HH2 for a while.

Totally confused as to what is causing this problem for me, my hardware and OS seem fine, the HH3 is, how shall I put this, possibly a little pants.

I am having similar problems..... they started 2 days ago - but I'm using an old white homehub.

My problems all seemd to start with testing windows 8 on a spare Hard drive though. Once I reverted back to my old Hard drive (Vista) - I had all the problems you describe with my wired PC.

I knwo a fair bit about computers and netwroks in general and couldn't fix connectivity issues. Just went with a wireless connection instead.

Yes, it's really frustrating, especially when you know it should just work.

I thought about taking apart one of my HH3 units and getting the wireless PCI card out of it (because apparently you can) and installing in my dekstop pc, but then I thought, I can't be bothered and I'm never sure if I would be better off with wireless N or ethernet 100 anyway.

So I'll use my HH2 and the two HH3s can gather dust for the moment.

This is still an issue for me and like you, I think I might go wireless.
