Hi all

I have been running a Sapphire 6970 in my rig now since October and have noticed an issue on a few occasions. My system runs hot so I tend to have the override function for manual fan control set to 50%. Now the issue seems to be when I boot the machine it doesn't seem to recognise this setting and the fan starts to pulse after a while. As soon as I go into the override and hit apply it pushes the fan to 50% and behaves as it should.

Any ideas what might be causing this problem?

Do you have the overclocking program set to start when computer turns on?
Should be incthe settings with both sapphire trixx and msi afterburner.

Yep this.

I use to get the same thing. Now when i turn on my pc ive set only Trixx to open up and my fan goes straight to whatever its set at.... not 50/60+. Worked for me

Ahh never had Trixx installed was just using the overdrive settings in CCC. So do I turn off the overdrive stuff and just do it through Trixx? Just downloaded it now.

Had this issue all the time with my 7970 with CCC overdrive enabled and Afterburner.

Basically when starting my PC the manual fan control was kicking in at 100% in CCC.

In the end I disabled CCC and the overclock as it was getting on my ruddy nerves.

Ok got it installed. Do I need to hit 'save bios' when I have made all the changes or is that to save a backup bios if I am flashing or something?
