Strange Computer Problem

I am at a loose end and just looking for some help before I buy replacement parts.

<I am now saving up to rebuild a machine, I just need to try and get this pc up and running in the meantime>

My computer is self built mainly with parts from OcUK, anyways it has run with zero problems for the last 2 years without a single glitch.

Randomly last month my PC stoped booting first time, sometimes it would take 1 to 3 trys (once the pc was booted it had zero issues) and as long as the pc stayed on it was all good.

On the times the pc did not boot, everything was running HDD, CD rom, GFX but my CPU fan was not spining up and I would get no signal to my monitor.

This started to get worse this week to the point I got it booted and backed everything up just in case, now my pc no longer boots no matter how many times I try.

All the above has no beeping of any kind.

Things I have done so far
Barebones system, nothing but CPU + fan (connected outside the case to rule out shorting) CPU heats up but fan does not start, the fan does nudge and spin a little when I power the machine down.

Removed the CMOS battery, booted with and without after reset (no effect)

GFX card powers up, HHD powers up, CD rom etc

Which leads me to belive its either the Motherboard or PSU. (since the CPU heats up does that rule out the motherboard completly?)

Motherboard: GA-P35C-DS3R
CPU: ZM600-HP (600w)
GFX: 8800 GTS OC
CPU: Itel Dual Core 2.66 (I forget the exact details, I will dig them up)

Any advice would be greatful.

I'ld edge a guess at mobo death.

Ive had 2 PSU's die on me within 2 years and never had this issue because of them. In my experience when its the PSU it dies fully not partially while still powering hdd, gfx, optical drive.
I wouldnt try booting it anymore atm either if the cpu ehats up but the cpu fan doesnt spin, thats not going to be healthy for your CPU.

I was chasing a similar problem years ago on a old pc and it turned out to be mobo.
See what everyone else says as im no pro but im just going by my experience

Thanks for the advice so far, anymore is welcome.

Do you have any spare PSUs lying around to try out?

Nah afraid I dont, I am trying to get a hold of spare one but thought it might of been obvous to somebody else what it was, so I thought I would post on here in the meantime :)

Hi , I would say its mobo with HybridX as its powering your gfx card and hdd+dvd drives fine direct from the psu.

1. Does the cpu fan work connected to the psu?

2. Has the pc been clocked for 2 years(+Volts):D

I too believe it's the PSU. Does the LED on the motherboard light up?
I am trying to recall if this board has an LED, I have had so many PCs pass my hands in the last few years, checked the MB and the manual and see no indication it has any. And I dont see any lights on the motherboard when power connects.

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ProductID=2551 (this is the MB I am using)

Anything connected to the motherboard i.e sound card does light up so at least some power is getting to the motherboard.

1. Does the cpu fan work connected to the psu?
2. Has the pc been clocked for 2 years?

1, dont have any adapters to connect it directly atm
2, nope I did play with it for a bit but I put it back to stock as I didnt need it for anything over the top.
