When cold booting my PC I find that I do not connect to the internet. On a restart the issue has resolved itself.
On checking Windows Network Diagnostics I get this error message:

The Intel(R)82579LM Gigabyte Network Connection adapter is experiencing driver- or hardware related problems.

This is a fresh install and installing motherboard drivers once Windows installs something I have done countless times in the past with no problems.

Downloaded and installed latest drivers from Gigabyte Sniper M3 site but the issue remains. Also tried the latest drivers direct from Intel but the problem still persists.

Suggestions?

I've had the "No connectivity" issue a couple of times since November on my ASUS Z97 Hero VII board. So I'm in for any suggestions people may have to resolve it.

Have you tried disabling and re-enabling the driver to see if that fixes it?

I have not tried that no but will do thanks.

Ah, I think that has the same effect.

In the control panel
Change it to "View: Small Icons" -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Settings

Looks like it. The only way to see if this has worked is to wait until i boot after the PC being off for a certain length of time. No idea how long so will leave it for now and post back later.
