I've been on BT ADSL for a few years now and went from 512K to 2Mb and a few months ago upgraded to the 8Mb service. No real problems since day one.
A couple of weeks ago something odd started to happen. When I switch on my ADSL modem (Not using the Home Hub) it connects as usual but drops the connection after about 2 minutes. It then automtically reconnects and this cycle repeats for about 45 minutes or so. After 45 minutes it connects and stays connected.
Maybe its my ASUS modem that is giving up but is it possible this is something to do with my ADSL connection/config ?
The 8Mb service has been working fine for a few months and I haven't changed anything recently.
