Strange CPU-Z readings

Well these might not be strange but I've never overclocked before and strikes me as abit wierd.

The Core Speed and Multiplier keep jumping beween 1800 - 2700 and x6 - x9.

Ive got the intel thermal tool thing (TAT) up and its showing that the clock is set at 2700.

Is there a setting I havnt changed?

Do a search for Speedstep. Wasn't somebody going to add it to the sticky?

I'm sure I disabled speedstep in the BIOS =/

you may also have to disable c1e enhanced halt status in bios
