hey guys, I recently upgraded my pc, my current rig is:

Q6600@Stock
8600GT@Overclocked
250 Seagate Barracuda

I recently changed the CPU from a AMD 3800X2 to the Q6600, and a 250gb western digital to the barracuda.

Onto the tests: The thing i found most strange was, when it came to the two CPU Tests i got between 1 - 2 frames per second.. yes.. between 1 and 2! Then onto the other tests, With AMD rig i was getting way higher fps than i'm getting now, on the first test [the sci-fi shooter] my lowest is 9fps to 40 [in corners]. I understand my 8600GT isn't amazing but it it shouldn't be getting 9 frames should it? Also in the test where you have the "airship" and the lochness sort of dragon creature, I also got frames of 10 [lowest] to around 40 once again. Now i'm positive on my old AMD i was getting way higher.

It's all confusing, sorry if it doesn't make sense, i don't understand it myself. Oh and when i was submitting my results it mentioned i needed the futuremark drivers?

At the end of the tests my score was 6697, now i'm guessing that's bad from the frames i was getting.

If anyone has any ideas what's wrong, or any comments please post them.

Thanks

Joe.

1-2 frames per second on the CPU tests is perfectly normal. You'll not find many (any) systems that go much higher in that particular test.

Why not use the 3DMark ORB database online to compare your system and results with others?

As above ^^^ sounds fine, the CPU scores are always like that, and your 8600GT is really slowing your system down. You might be better off getting a cheaper conroe and a more expensive graphics card (e2160 and a 8800 GTS springs to mind) if games are your thing.

Your 3d mark score looks very respectable, all things considered.
