So I put a new CPU into a Fujitsu Siemens amillo Pro 3515, with an extra stick of ram, and a new hard drive. Had the stuff lying around, it's compatible, so it should work. In Vista the laptop doesn't freeze, in ubuntu the thing doesn't freeze, though after a few minutes - around 5-10 in windows 7, the thing completely locks up, with the previous stuff on the screen.
Can anyone suggest any reason why it would do it.
Given the fact it works in 2 other operating systems, then I'm assuming its nothing hardware related. Any guesses to what could be causing it, its on clean installs btw.
