hi all:D

i have this problem im assuming its to do with my gpu:confused:

anyway i will play just cause 2 for maby 1 hour to 1.5 hours and the game will freeze up and crash

anyone got any ideas why it freezes up??

also sometimes after it freezes up and i open opera all the graphics go weird
not the web pages just the window where the tabs an stuff are, then i get an error message that closes opera i have to restart for it to go back normal

also did it to newsleecher the graphics went all weird and made it not respond

never tried launching just cause back up when it does this though

anyone got any ideas?? my gpu is, HIS ATI Radeon HD 5770

thanks:)

yes the gpu is overclocked should i reset to default

i used ati catalyst controll center to auto tune my gpu

can this still cause instability

thanks :)

Yes, very much so!
Your card has been overclocked past it's stability level, most likely due to a low voltage level, which CCC doesn't give you the option to adjust.

If you download MSI Afterburner, (hoping your card is non-reference) then you should be able to adjust the voltage levels corresponding to your level of overclock.

I.E. The higher your OC the higher the voltage needs to be. Just don't go past it's limits, maybe open a new thread on overclocking the 5770.
If you reset your card back to defaults, or reduce the OC by a small amount until it no longer crashes, it should be fine.
