I have two hard drives:
Maxtor 300GB
Hitachi 500GB
When I select the Maxtor 300GB as the boot disk, the Hitachi 500GB is detected fine.
However...
When I select the Hitachi 500GB as the boot disk, and use the Maxtor 300GB as a data disk, the Hitachi is only detected in the BIOS after a warm boot. It will not be detected upon the first cold boot.
Basically, if the Hitachi 500GB is the boot disk it will not be detected upon cold boot and a second warm boot is needed for it to be picked up by the BIOS. This does not occur with my other hard disks.
Any ideas why this is?
