strange internet problem

Hi everyone, over the past two days my internet will only let me go to sites which i go on a lot. It will not connect to anyother site apart from this one and SLIZones forum. Im using firefox as my brower and tiscali as my isp. thanks

dns server issues? try using another isps dns servers

Define "will not connect" - any particular error message?

i will type in lets say www.yahoo.co.uk then it will say looking up yahoo.co.uk and the the progress bar in the bottom right does not move

And eventually it says "could not find server", or whatever IE's equivalent is?
Sounds like DNS.

What binaryknight said, or try OpenDNS.
