Bit of a strange one this, least for me.
Im router is dropping the connection constantly!
My phone when plugged into the test socket is crystal clear.
My phone when plugged into a short extension is crystal clear.
My phone when the router is plugged in goes crackly
disconnect the router and it is crystal clear again.
So, basic setup, 1 phone and 1 router with the adsl filter. Crystal clear line. Soon as the router is powered on the line goes crackly and as such drops connections constantly.
Pretty much instantly when any load is put on it.
(drops connection trying to post this thread, seems to idle ok but will still drop eventerly)
EDIT
Pressing submit drops my connection
Surely something has gone wrong at the exchange!
Remove the router and the line is perfect. Soon as the router starts to sync and does sync it crackles. As the line is clear BT won't want to know.
I have tried 2 routers, 3 filters and 2 router to phone line cables.
Routers are the BeBox and a Netgear DG384GT, which has been flawless till today.
Anyone had this before? noisy line ONLY when the router is powered on? and any sort of download/upload causes a line drop out?
Also anyone know if it is possible to view how many re-syncs a router has performed over x hours? Can't see it in the Netgear admin page.
