Ive got a LG Flatron W2234S Monitor.

My problem is, in games, I see strange monitor effects such as thin white stripes going from up to down very fast, its hard to describe. im suspecting its refresh rate or something.

Im using a VGA to DVI connector with my GTX460, is that the problem ?
in Furmark aswell, I get a think rectangular black strpe going up and down.

Could someone help ?

try turning it on, in the in-game options and the graphic card driver control panel.

is this white line from top too bottom? or left too right?

is it a white line? or does it look like someone has run a pair of scissors through the screen?

Its from top to bottom, bottom to top sometimes.

Yes turning it on has seemed to fix it a bit, but its still there. and it seemed to reduce my FPS.

Its a faint white line.

if its top too bottom, then thats not Vsync tearing.

all your cables nice and snug in their ports?

Yeah ive just checked and everything is fine.
In furmark its a single black line going from top to bottom or stopping in the middle and going back to the top.

Sorry I was wrong all the time, its from bottom to top, not opposite.
Is the card going faulty ? Its new, all ive done with it is OC it a bit when I play games.

Yeah but guys even though when I turn V.Sync on it seems to help, the problem doesnt go away fully. in oblivion when I get a small stutter somewhere i would get those effects, but when its smooth, they are gone

Not a monitor related case. I had the same problem with my old 8800. I RMA'd for a different batch and the card is still working.
