I've installed the trial of Photoshop CS5 to evaluate it and since doing that, my right click/open with menu has gone a bit odd with regards to CS4.

I've cleared out my launch services preferences and cache and even gone as far as a reboot but it's still showing like that. It was OK before.

Is there any way I can edit the way that displays in the menu?

Did you only start getting it after installing CS5 or was it like that before?

It only happened after installing CS5 Design Premium. Only Photoshop seems to be affected the other programs in the suite still have the correct open with information.

Yes, that did it. The full string appeared about six times in the main bundle plist so I edited them all down. Strange that it should go like that after installing CS5 though.

Go to /HD/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/

Then in that folder there's an Adobe Photoshop CS4 file, right click it and 'show package contents'.

A new Finder window will open, click into Contents and then opein the Info.plist file in your favourite text editor (I use TextMate).

There are a number of instances in that file which start with "<string>11.0" followed by the full text I posted above. I edited each and everyone so they just said (11.0).

Once done, rebuild your launch services, either by something like Onyx or manually by deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices.plist

You may need to then log out or restart.

Job should be a good 'un.

** IMPORTANT **
Take backup copies of any files you edit in case you mess it up!
